Paper Collective

The Danish brand Paper Collective brings together renowned designers, artists and illustrators to provide inspiring graphic works while promoting charity. The three most important principles of the brand are social responsibility, sustainability and strong creative partnerships.

Paper Collective believes that good design can do more than just look good - that's why part of every purchase goes to support a charity project. Paper Collective is currently building a school for hundreds of children in rural Nepal.

As a sustainable company, all production takes place in the brand's country of origin, Denmark, using high-quality materials. Paper Collective has the official Nordic recognition of sustainability - the Swan label.

Paper Collective curates creations from artists around the world to create a limited amount of works that kadorn modern homes and interiors. The brand's diverse selection offers art for projects of any style.

Sketchbook Abstracts 01

Designer: Jonas Wagell

About the work:

“As an architect and product designer, sketching is an integral part of the work process. This is how all projects get started. For me, a sketch is a tool for getting feedback on ideas. A tool for trying out shapes. It's intuitive, thinking on a piece of paper. My sketches are seldom finished and are often repeated. Later, I replace the sketched idea with a physical model in a CAD program.
For this series, I browsed through my latest sketches and selected my favorite shapes, which, when added to color and texture, became graphic parts. At the same time, the illustrations become abstract - this is a summary of the collected notes and inspiration from my sketchbook, which is why the series was named Sketchbook Abstracts ”. (summary of the sketchbook in English)

Swedish architect and designer Jonas Wagell is a renowned contemporary product and furniture designer. Its design is inviting and consists of soft and minimalist lines. In 2008, he founded his own studio in Stockholm called JWDA, with collaborations ranging from Scandinavia and Europe to China and North America.
