About the work:
Black Pants is one of three in 2018 To the British Fashion Council commissioned works in which Amelie was asked interpreted the 2018 fashion collections of three British designers - Georgia Hardinge, Katherine Hamnett and Mother of Pearl. The originals have been on display since January 2019 at the Museo ABC in Madrid, Spain.
Amelie Hegard is a Swedish artist whose work strikes a balance between emotion and style. His work and contextual interests focus on ideas, the power of ideals, and seduction. Another issue is the relationship to beauty - where do we find it and what do we sacrifice for it.
