Plate Matégot, Ø37.5cm, black
Created in 1953 by French designer Mathieu Matégot, the modern platter is an aesthetically prominent sculptural accessory that retains airiness thanks to its transparent metal. The plate is made in the technique of Rigitulle created by the author, in which case a strong metal sheet has become an airy fabric-like material. The metal is bent and folded by testing the different looks the material is capable of.
Thanks to innovative technology, Matégot was able to design something exceptionally elegant and decorative out of a regular fruit bowl, which adds a stylish accent to any interior.
