Hvidt & Mølgaard

The range of tables, chairs and lighting fixtures has been rediscovered from medieval drawings by modernists Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen and is now part of the family of the renowned Danish interior design brand & Tradition. Some of them are produced for the first time.

Both designers from Copenhagen were skilled furniture makers and are known for the ease of their work. Their work once paved the way for affordable international furniture trade and production.

The tradition-respecting interior brand & Tradition 2020 spring collection includes Hvidt & Mølgaard's elegant Dawn chair, various variations of the Drop Leaf table, the modular Pinwheel coffee table and the sculptural Tripod floor lamp.

Created in 1953, the Pinwheel coffee table is a versatile piece of furniture. With its slenderly airy and uniquely beautiful shape, the table is designed to adapt to a variety of different environments and needs.

The curved sides of the table are made in shapes that allow them to be connected to each other. Create different shapes and combine six tables with light movement to achieve elegant and unique shapes, and six tables can be formed into a complete circle. If necessary, remove one table from the composition and place it in a comfortable area next to a sofa or armchair.

Pinwheel represents classic Danish medieval design. There is a stylish table available in walnut and oiled or saponified oak board. 100% brass legs add a beautiful accent to the solid wood table top.
